My friends and I were shooting a short feature and had a big issue with a transition from outside a townhouse to inside. We used a rowing excercise machine and kept the tripod on to have more control over the movement, then physically put the track through an open window so we could have a smooth track from outside to inside.
Now that’s what i call Team work.
This is from last year. We rigged a camera above a sofa. Limited amount of space. Built the rig right at the ceiling. But all for the money shot. It was an amazing shoot. Awesome Crew.
If you’re shooting out in the middle of the woods at night, you may get hungry for a PopTart.
But of course, no one like cold PopTarts, and since all of the power is used for the lights, there’s no way to plug in a toaster.
So simply slip your Tart into the scrim holder on the front of a light, dummy!
BAM! Instant on-set warm treat.
5 years ago, while I was in undergrad, I wanted to make a 3D film for my cinematography final.
So I did. By gaff taping two Canon GL2s to a quarter apple on a ladder, gaff taped to a doorway dolly.
